Casagrande USA began with the sale of Construction Equipment Service to Casagrande SpA. While Casagrande SpA, our parent company has been in existence since 1963, Casagrande USA is very new. The purchase transaction took place in December of 2006.

Construction Equipment Service was founded in 1995 by Mike Steinhardt after leaving Ingersoll-Rand to start a service based equipment provider. The company began as a one truck service operation out of Mike’s driveway with a small office in his house.

At the time of the sale, CES had 15 full time employees plus Mike and Kathy Steinhardt and a modern shop and storage yard in Lafayette, NJ.

CES was founded on the premise that service is equally as important to the customer as is the quality the machine. That idea is fully supported by the today’s owners of the company, the Casagrande Family.
