Super Pile '08 - WEBSITE >> DFI

April 29-30, 2008
Philadelphia, PA
Quality Management programs rely on effective use of both quality assurance and quality control methods. This is important in the design and installation of pile foundations because selection of the wrong type can be a critical mistake, and also because it is often impossible to directly watch critical phases of the installation process, or to visually inspect the finished product. With this in mind, four of the DFI’s technical committees have joined forces to present an overview of pile foundation construction. The committees for ACIP Piles, Driven Piles, and Micropiles will present on the respective construction methods, and the factors that govern the selection of pile type for a given project. The Test and Evaluation committee will provide an overview of the inspection and test methods available today. Equipment, material and instrumentation suppliers and vendors will be presenting their services.
